Living Victoria Water Rebate Program: Your Business Could Be $2000 Richer!

Rebecca Highton - Monday, March 18, 2013

Are you a small business owner in Victoria?  Have you taken advantage of the Victorian Government's Living Victoria Water Rebate Program?  This program provides a range of rebates up to $2000 for small businesses on a range of water efficient products and appliances, including on Fagor dishwashers, as a reward for their efforts to be water efficient.

Current rebates are available for products purchased and installed between 1st July 2012 and 30th June 2015.  Small businesses can now have up to 50 employees to be eligible for the small business rebate and can make multiple claims to receive their maximum $2000 rebate.  Further details about the program can be found on the Office of Living Victoria website

Claiming money back for your Fagor dishwasher is very easy - once your business has ordered a new Fagor dishwasher, just complete the Claim Form and send it to the Rebate Department (contact details are on the Claim Form) along with a copy of your Fagor invoice.

Claim Forms and further information about Fagor dishwashers are available now from Fagor's Victorian Sales Manager, Roslyn Hopkins.

Focus on: Heated Plate Dispensers

Rebecca Highton - Thursday, November 15, 2012

Heated plates might not seem like an essential item in your kitchen but a little effort heating your serving plates can quickly and easily create a much more pleasurable experience for your customers.

Customers are becoming ever more discerning and in these financially-tight times customers are always trying to maximise the enjoyment of their dining experiences.  Eating in a restaurant is as much about spending time with friends as it is about enjoying the food and wine and heated plates will ensure the food stays warn and enjoyable for longer.  Customers who linger over the main courses are also likely to order more drinks (with their associated profits for you!) than customers who gobble down their food.

One of the easiest, most economical and space-saving ways to heat plates is with a plate lowerator, such as an Edesa plate dispenser, available exclusively through Fagor.  Plate lowerators (or plate dispensers) are available in both mobile and fixed versions.  The dispensers incorporate a heated tube and are spring-loaded so that the pile of plates is raised each time a (heated!) plate is removed.  Drop-in, fixed plated dispensers are extremely cost effective and are ideal for small kitchens as they can be installed into an existing kitchen bench.  Mobile plate dispensers are a very flexible option for kitchens where space is at a premium and their easy maneuverability means they can, for example, be moved to the dishwashing area to be loaded with clean plates to create create a better, safer working environment for staff.

This simple yet effective piece of equipment really could help elevate your restaurant to the next level!

Choosing a Quality Supplier of Equipment

Rebecca Highton - Wednesday, October 24, 2012

Quality Image

When choosing equipment for your kitchen it is important to choose a reputable supplier of high-quality equipment.  Quality equipment may require a slightly larger initial outlay of cash compared to some of the cheaper equipment on the market but will be sure to save you money, time and headaches in the long run! Professional kitchens have to cope with large numbers of guests and superior quality equipment will not only help you to create a stylish kitchen but also help you to run a organised, efficient business.  Quality equipment will have a longer product lifestyle with less downtime for technical issues than its inferior equivalents, resulting in both economic and environmental savings.  When choosing your equipment, check that it is robustly constructed in materials such as stainless steel and that spare parts and technical support are readily available.  Also be sure that the equipment has been subjected to quality testing and that the performance of the products has been monitored and checked by the manufacturer.

Here at Fagor, we fully understand the importance of supplying high quality equipment and to this end we have submitted our equipment to a wide range of quality tests.  For over fifty years Fagor has diligently monitored the performance of our products and invested heavily into research and development.  We also offer outstanding post-sale warranty and service via our national network of Fagor-approved technicians as well as long-term parts availability and technical support from our Head Office in Sydney.

Fagor Industrial was the first company in its industry in Spain to meet all the requirements for the N Mark (Certified Product - ISO 9001) and the ER Certificate (Registered Company), both by AENOR.  Furthermore, it was a pioneer in the achievement of the CE Certification for gas devices in the EU.  Fagor also has quality certificates in countries such as Russia, Norway, Switzerland, Romania, Bulgaria, the United States and, of course, Australia.

In October 2004, the management quality at Fagor Industrial received a very special recognition in the form of the Golden Q granted by Euskalit, a certification that ensures the strict fulfillment of the rules established by the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management).  In July 2006 we were officially granted the Environmental Certificate ISO-1400: this shows our company's commitment to the environment within the framework of sustainable development established by MCC.  In July 2007 we also received the Work Safety and Health Management certificate OHSAS 18.001.

Sneak preview: Fagor's new generation of ADVANCE ovens

Rebecca Highton - Thursday, October 11, 2012

ADVANCE Combi Ovens

Our General Manager, Pedro Jaramillo, and our National Sales and Marketing Manager, Xavier Poirier, have just visited our company's headquarters in Spain for the launch of our new generation of ADVANCE combi ovens.  These ovens are designed to be the most technologically advanced range of combi ovens available on the market.  ADVANCE ovens incorporate state of the art features in terms of technology and software and are easy to use thanks to their intuitive touch screen menu and their full range of applications for monitoring, maintenance, configuration and logging of cooking events.

As with Fagor's current range of ovens, the ADVANCE combi ovens will be available in three ranges: ADVANCE PLUS, ADVANCE and ADVANCE CONCEPT.  Each of these ranges will be available in five sizes and in gas and electric options so will offer each customer a solution which is fully suited to their space and specific requirements.

The star of this new generation of ovens is without a doubt the ADVANCE PLUS range, targeting the most demanding professionals who require full-on functionality and the highest performance on the market.  This range comes equipped with all the new functions exclusive to Fagor such as HA Control (which guarantees a constant, uniform temperature); Eco Steaming (generating independent steam to ensure perfect quality of cooking); EZ Sensor (the new temperature sensor which assures maximum accuracy in the cooking process); Fagor Touch (a system of glass-sealed touchscreens for easy cleaning and for protection from dents and scratches); Fagor Combi OS (a unique operating system with multiple cooking programmes for even cooking simultaneously in different trays) and Combi Clean (an automatic cooking chamber cleaning system).

The ADVANCE range has been designed for chefs who are looking for an affordable oven with advanced features and a high quality of cooking, efficiency and safety.  The ADVANCE range guarantees the best value for money in ovens with steam generators.  Its power and versatility go hand in hand with the functions: Eco Steaming, HA Control and the new temperature sensor EZ Sensor.

Lastly, the ADVANCE CONCEPT range is the best option for professionals looking for a simple and affordable oven which guarantees maximum power and strength.  It can be used in convection, steam, mixed function and regeneration and includes the Cold Down function, humidifier and EZ Temperature Sensor.  Like in the other ranges, its technical service support system makes it possible to check the correct functioning of all the parts, without having to dismantle any exterior panels.

All of the new generation of ovens have been given a make-over and all ADVANCE ovens feature enhanced ergonomics, better maneuverability and improved safety attributes such as a hygienic, weld-free cooking chamber to prevent dirt accumulating, a more ergonomic and robust handle and a new reinforced double-glazed door to minimize heat loss.  Furthermore, the ADVANCE ovens have been manufactured entirely from austenitic stainless steel, with the interior made from AISI-304 stainless steel, which gives them a significant improvement in terms of resistance and strength.  The 'footprint' has also been reduced by 20%, bringing greater productivity in less space.  The top-of-the-range ADVANCE PLUS model also has a built-in USB port which enables software updates, the addition of new recipes and downloading of operational data for health and safety purposes.

Kepa Bedialauneta, General Manager of Fagor Industrial, explains that 'Fagor Industrial ovens have always [been] a favourite for catering professionals.  The generation which we are presenting today is the result of the hard work of our R+D department to design the most advanced and versatile ovens on the market, designed to become an efficient help in the day-to-day work of all catering professionals, whatever their needs might be.'

The full range of ADVANCE combi ovens will be available in Australia in the New Year: further details and training will be provided by the Fagor Sales Managers very soon!
